I am making 5-6 homemade hampers this year for some family members and friends and was wondering if i can add cheese.
I know cheese has to be stored in a fridge, but i saw on various websites, even Harrods, their hampers include cheeses. Is there a special type of cheese i can get which can sit for a few days at room temperature as my family/friends will be receiving them 4 days in advance.
Hope someone can help

For those who did not understand my question, i meant Christmas hamper.
I assume you are from the States so maybe it is not very popular over there, here in the UK we give food hampers [ small or large baskets packed with food goodies, drinks or small gifts] as a Christmas prezzy

I am not sure how the companies can package and store cheeses without refrigerating them, unless it is because they are sealed in a special way. If you want to be safe, maybe you could get gift cards for cheese from someplace like Hickory Farms. That way you won’t have to worry and they can get the kind of cheese they like best.
Happy Holidays!
