VICTORIA – It’s the season of giving and local charities are asking people to do just that, by making a donation to help those less fortunate. The Salvation Army’s national Kettle Campaign is six million dollars short of its million goal. Locally, the charity needs 000. The Mustard Seed Food Bank also needs more donations. The charity will provide 900 food hampers for families this Christmas, on top of the 7200 people who rely on the food bank every month. Local charities hope people will open their wallets and give not only now, but all year round.
